Joan Dreyer is a fine artist who employs the "stitch" as her voice.
Past works have included an exploration of loss in the Grief and Mourning Series,
and the themes of abundance, sin and temptation in the Apple Series.
The current body of work, Home Front, addresses the War in Iraq
and the disconnect between "here" and "over there". The work is
intended to question the fine line between patriotism and propaganda.
